ME
AND MY GIRL
|
|
|
Dave Hughes (Bill Snibson)
is happy to be back with TEPOS for their production of Me and
My Girl, he was last seen in the 2002 production of The
Pajama Game. Dave has become an active member of
both the Bob Hope Theatre and DAODS,
giving him the chance to take up many roles including that of dressing
up as a woman!! Dave has enjoyed the roll of Bill Snibson, which he
has portrayed before, but is looking forwards to taking his best role
to date, that of groom in his forthcoming wedding to fiancee Jane.

Suzanne Dean (Sally
Smith) is now in her fourth show with TEPOS. She first
hit the stage in 2001 with Oklahoma and since then has never looked
back. Suzanne has performed in shows and concerts for TEPOS
and Hulviz
OS. Her roles include Milli (Summer Song), Rose
(Meet Me in St Louis), Chava (Fiddler
on the Roof) and Poppy, the saucy soubrette in
last year's The
End of the Pier Show. Suzanne is thrilled
to be playing Sally in Me and My Girl. She says it's her dream
role and has no hesitation in talking right cockney!! |

|
Marina Dodd (Maria,
Duchess of Dene) first performed with TEPOS in Trial
by Jury and HMS Pinafore in 1982. She was taught by Welsh international
Iona Jones and studied music at Goldsmith's College. Marina sings
with Kentish
Opera and turns her voice to anything from opera to
pop. Currently rehearsing for an April production of Carmen
with Erith
OS, Marina is pleased to be back with TEPOS
after several years absence. |
|
|
Bud Abbott (Sir
John Tremayne) appeared in his first show with TEPOS, Merrie
England, back in 1971. He has been associated with the company
ever since then, either back stage or as 'front of houe'. It has given
him much pleasure over the years and he thoroughly recommends the
involvement as rewarding. |
|
|
Carol Mitchell (Lady
Jacqueline Carstone) has relished the opportunity to get into
the character of the vampish Lady Jaquie as a refreshing change from
her more recent role of yummy mummy at home! She is particularly pleased
to be performing with TEPOS again, with whom she played man
eating Mae in The
Pajama Game in 2002, but is secretly alarmed at
being typecast. Other previous roles include Tzeitel (Fiddler
on the Roof) and Sylvia (Annie Get Your Gun).
She has enjoyed dancing in the big open-air extravaganza Music
of the Nights both in Wollwich and Plymouth. |

|
Christopher Betterton
(The Hon Gerald Bolingbroke) joined TEPOS in 1995 after
a year celebrating Blackheath's Concert Hall's Centenary in HMS Pinafore
and Iolanthe. His first TEPOS role was the Heavenly Friend
in Carousel,
which was a non-singing part but he didn't take the hint. Subsequent
roles include Freddy (My
Fair Lady), Prez (The
Pajama Game), Strephon (Iolanthe)
and with Sidcup OS, Tommy (Brigadoon). Christopher would like
to point out that once again he has been cast against type - as most
of the roles he is plaing yet another spoilt brat! |
|
|
William Fletcher (Herbert
Parchester) has been a member of TEPOS since fiddling on
the roof as a beggar back in 1989. He has played a number of roles
since then including Mr Snow (Carousel),
Cyril (Princess Ida), Dr Daly (The
Sorcerer) and Wally Mason in last year's production
of The
End of the Pier Show. |
|
|
William Christmas
(Sir Jasper Tring) trained at Goldsmith's College, appearing
in everything from French farce to Greek tragedy. Subsequently transferred
to the musical theatre he took roles in Oliver, Annie, Half a Sixpence,
Summer Song et al. His favourite role is Colonel Pickering in My
Fair Ladywhich he has reprised several times. Now
celebrating over 50 years as a performer by giving talks on theatre
and travel, his second hobby. |
|
|
Conrad Simpson (Charles
the Butler) made his debut with TEPOS in he 2003 production of
Iolanthe
and has been an active member since, including playing Reg in The
End of the Pier Show last year. Playing Charles
sees him returning to the role of butler, the first being in a production
of Annie. |
|
|
Dave Adams (Private
Willis) joined TEPOS for its 2001 production of the Mikado
and appeared as Mr Hasler in The
Pajama Game and was delighted to play Private Willis
in our production of Iolanthe,
his first solo singing part. David is a long serving member of St
Martin's Players in Barnehurst. |
|
|
Marion Terry (Lady
Battersby) has been involved with many operatic societies, playing
Elsa Schraeder in the Sound of Music, Widow Corny in Oliver,
Fruma Sarah in Fiddler
on the Roof and Mrs Higgins in My
Fair Lady. She also sung the part of Dolly in Hello
Dolly in the open air extravaganza Musical Nights. Marion
also sings in concerts throughout the area. |
